I guide clients through bodywork programs that address the barriers to healthy alignment:  chronic pain, stress, and underactive muscles.  I help clients get out of pain and back to enjoying their favorite activities.

Tissue Adhesions

Tissue adhesions and restrictions are areas where tissue gets bound up, stuck, and glued together. They pull the body into compromised positions and create excess tension and wear. Once tissues are stuck together, they no longer glide freely, and youโ€™re stuck with poor posture and maladaptive movement patterns.

Stress & Joint Pain

Chronic stress and joint pain weigh you down and leave your body riddled with excess tension. They cause you to inhabit compromised positions: slumping, hobbling, limping, straining, compensating, or hunching over. Poor movement patterns further reinforce misalignment.

Inactive muscles fail to support healthy alignment, leading to slouching, unbalanced posture, and overcompensation from already overactively muscles groups. Weak muscles create put excess wear and tear on your joints, ligaments, and tendons.

Rolfing Sessions

Rolfing focuses on releasing stuck tissues in your fasciaโ€” the connective tissue that weaves through the entire body also known as the "organ of form." By applying precise, hands-on pressure and guiding clients through movement, adhesions and โ€œstuckโ€ areas will break up. This process restores the bodyโ€™s natural fluidity, alleviating chronic pain and discomfort.

Alignment-based Restorative Yoga

Restorative Yoga uses pressure in the joints and bones to remodel fascia, tendons, ligaments, and even the joints themselves over time. It relieves chronic stress and brings the body into a deep state of peace and rest from which healing can occur. Integrated into my approach, it accelerates the release of restrictions and tension, creating change in even the most stubborn cases, thus allowing you to reclaim natural alignment and greater well-being.

Simple Strengthening Exercises

Youโ€™ll learn a series of targeted movement exercises that reactivate muscles that arenโ€™t firing. By strengthening deep stabilizers across the spine, hips, and lower body, youโ€™ll experience reduced pain and better alignment. Over time, these exercises address imbalances caused by sitting or repetitive movements, resulting in greater stability and a more resilient body prepared for the demands of daily life.
